The app can survive any edit here — every field has a compiled-in default and nothing throws. What it cannot do is tell you a change did nothing, so this checks before saving.
Content releases are cut from the repository, not from here:
./scripts/content-release.py --bump --upload
It runs the font-coverage check — a new character outside the bundled
Japanese subset renders as an empty box and no device can detect it —
splits the guide per language, uploads, and prints the
content block to paste above. A browser cannot do the
first of those, which is why this is a script.
